Early Life Salma Hayek Jimenez was born on the 2nd of September 1996 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, being the daughter of a Spanish mother and a Lebanese father. Hayek was raised in a wealthy Catholic family. She attended convent school at age 12 in Louisiana and then lived in Houston along with her aunt throughout her teens.
